How to Make Your Own Homemade Peanut Butter Cup
Melt Chocolate, Pour into Molds, Add Peanut Butter Filling
Making these cups is super easy. Start by melting some chocolate chips in a double boiler until smooth and creamy.
Once the chocolate has melted, pour it into your candy mold of choice or a cupcake liner, filling each about halfway. Then, take a spoonful of creamy peanut butter mixture and place it on top of the melted chocolate in each mold.
Let Them Cool Down
After adding the peanut butter filling to the molds, carefully spoon more melted chocolate on top to cover the peanut butter completely. You can smooth out the surface with the back of a spoon, but I never do. I like the homemade uneven look.
Put them in the fridge until they're firm. This usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour. The cold temperature will help solidify the chocolate and make it easy to eat without getting you all messy.
Time to Enjoy!
Once ready, remove them from the fridge and pop them out of the mold
Now comes the best part—enjoying your delicious homemade treats! Take a bite and savor that irresistible combination of rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter.
Extra Tips for this Chocolatey Treat
I like to store them in the freezer after I pop them out of their mold.
The great thing about making your own peanut butter cups is that you can customize them to suit your taste preferences. You can use dark or milk chocolate depending on your preference or even add some crushed nuts or sprinkles on top for extra crunch and flavor.

The idea behind a sweet treat is the word treat. A treat means something special, something you look forward to, something that does not happen every day.
